Glad to you that you are fine tuning the throws on your Pro and liking the way it flies. Keep us updated on your progress.

I like the use of different color heatshrink on the PowerBox I/O; cleaner than labels IMHO
Very well thought out build; best of luck with the jet !

Hello.. what is the length of the front section of the fuselage from the Rebel Pro (without the removable tail) ? Just to make sure it will fit the way I want in my car 😄

Just curious. Does anyone feel that the 60 degree of flap on the Rebel seems a bit much? I was thinking of decreasing it a bit. It almost feels like the Rebel slows down a bit too much and requires a decent amount of power to continue flying without wing rocking. Also, does anyone know what the 60 degrees equals to in mm? Just curious.
thanks,
Tone

I Have mine at 55 degrees and lands slowly enough. Don't know the mm only degrees.

Tone, I also have mine at 55 degrees. I do not know the measurement in mm. Like you, I also have to use a little throttle to keep it steady as the wing will rock a little (in windy conditions). I have also turned down the PowerBox SR2 gyro to 20% (as Andy {Barracuda} had indicated earlier in the thread), and the Pro is very steady throughout the F3S sequence. I practiced in a gusty 12-17 mph slightly crosswind and she was easy to control the wind correction. The landings are pretty slow with 55 degrees of flaps.

When Pirotti Models first released the Rebel Pro, these were the recommended throws and CG position.

I'm on the home stretch, getting the Pro ready for maiden. For those that use the Electron. GS-200, what kind of settings do you use for the braking? Do you use the pulse ratio (ABS), what kind of limit for max braking does the Pro require?

Thanks for the input,

Peter

Congrats Peter... I'm sure you will have a successful maiden. After starting out with the pulse ratio at 1:1 I found that it was too powerful (on asphalt) for the Pro and I have already developed 4 flat spots on my wheels. I have now cut back the pulse to 1:3 and will even go more as I find out what it needs. I have the max braking set at 100% and she stops straight. If she was veering to one side, the individual sides can be adjusted to lessen the braking on one side if needed.

Wayne, I have to agree with you that ER50 when full brakes are applied on asphalt it can stop in a short distance for a 44lb jet.
Mine is set the same 1/3 abs setting to prevent flat spotting tires an is very straight.
Hope this help Peter

Thanks guys for the 1/3 tip. Ya, when I switched to my PB Core and put my Boomerang Sprint on it, I forgot to calibrate the Jet tronics air braking system box to the new radio. First flight I put a terrible flat spot on the Behotec tires and the wings shook senselessly for the rest of the day. 50 bucks later for 2 new tires, I'm trying not to make the same mistake twice.

So you're not running an electron gear but a air gear made by ? Thought everyone used them over air gear system. More reliable no tanks and air lines but each to their own...!

I think he means in the Boomerang.... air gear. He wanted the electron settings to not make more flat spots on another model.

I could be wrong though !!

Marcelo, listed below are the arms that I use on my Pro. I'm not sure what others use.
Ailerons: 1¼ inches.
Flaps: 1 inch
Elevators: 1¼ inches
Rudder: 1½ inches.
As it is, I could go in one hole on my elevators and make it a 1 inch arm and still have enough throw for sequence flying, making the torque a little more. At present I have 753 oz/in on the surfaces, so I'm comfortable with the arms that I'm using.

I'm also running MKS HV9930.. using the new brass hub carbon arm MKS has they work very well.
Like Wayne has posted, these are the arm lengths
On the Rudder and elevator I slipped a carbon fibre rod over the 3mm thread rod with hysol to prevent and deflection under load.

Default Batteries

Hi,
How many batteries and what size would you recommend with this setup?

Jeti Cb 220 - All MKS HV servos
Electron retracts
Swiwin 220 turbine
nav lights from Unilights.

thought about using 2 jeti li-ion 2600mah for servos.. is this enough?
5 battery packs seems a lot for this plane.. 2 for rx, 1 for retracts, 1 for lights and 1 for turbine?

I use four batteries in total, two 4000mah Lipo for the CB power, one 3800mah for the ECU and smoke pump, one 2100 for the Electron gear
If the light is 11v, then you split the ECU power but increase the battery to 5000mah or run a 2100mah for 7.4 volt for the lights.
Are you using the Unilight system?

Cool.. im afraid of using the same ECU battery, as it is also providing power for the engine's fuel pump.
Yes, its the Unilight system.. I bought the Pro combo for the rebel pro directly from Unilight.
thinking of using 2 batteries for cb and retracts, 1 for the turbine and 1 small for the lights
