Avonds Twin
Hi Rick,
The original Avonds F-15 was a twin engine design (.45 size engines) and was later offered as a single .91 size plane. I believe the single engine version is a lot easier to build and maintain and flies great. The JHH version (Original Avonds Design) still is made for a twin DF set up. Larry Wolfe can probably answer any questions you might have.
Thanks - Adil

Avonds F15 twin?
I have some video of this plane flying with two GWM turbines (the 8-lb. ones. It was owned by Donny Beauvais, I believe. Anyway, it was the most scale F-15 flight I've ever seen. The landing was very slow and the nose stayed high until the plane practically came to a stop.

Twin Turbines
I also have the same video. I believe it was at Muncie, IN at the AMA homecoming. I believe Donny is/was the owner and Tom Dodgen was the pilot. Everytime I make a picture perfect landing, I watch the video and then head back to the field to practice landing again!
I also have some videos of the same plane flying with twin .91's and the performance was spectacular!
Would I power mine with twin DF - NO
Would I power mine with twin turbines - NO (only because I'd rather have TWO planes with turbines!)
