Any "Worthy" hobby shops near Houston Intercontinental Airport?
Does anybody know of any good hobby shops near IAH? I'm looking for some "star and bars" decals for my A-7. I plan on doing the paint mask/paint thing eventually, but I would like to pick up some temporary markings tomorrow on my layover in Houston. Specifically, I need 10.5" and 7.5" stars and bars. I'll be staying at the Hotel Sofitel Houston until Tuesday morning.
Thanks in advance,
John

John,
Larry's Hobbies is at I 45 and 1960 on the southeast corner. This is close to the hotel. There number is 281-443-7373. They have a good inventory of a lot of things. Not sure about your stars and bars.

I know this does not help much, however my last trip to Flightsafety Tucson (1 week ago), I was out killing some time and ran across the Hobby Barn. Unbelievable what I saw in that store. The big C5 actually exist! Hanging right there over the counter. The Royal Staggerwing hanging in the back! The warbirds and jets that are hanging in there are something to see for sure. The Scaled out mustangs that are hanging in that store blew me away. I cant wait to go back. Normally on my layovers, I will break out the yellow pages and try to find a hobby store and every now and then I get lucky. I ran across another awesome one in Providence,R.I. Anyway, good luck on the LHS.

Lear, i have been down there and seen that c-5. Nice, but now that i fly on them, i want to molda turbine one. We have on that is about a 100 inch wingspan, hangin in our squadron. My Chief flight engineer said he knows the company that molded it, somewhere in texas. I am thinking about giving them a call. It is 100 percent scale, that what this hobby needs a big arss c-5, forget about c-17's. Sorry john for hijacking your thread. Nick
