RE: Airliners
KC 10 is not flying yet, most of big work is done now, Iam installing receivers and electronic equipements in
In the same time, Iam making some modifications on my A330, and building an other A330 for a friend in Indonesia
I am also designing a 1/16 scale B747-400

RE: Airliners
The plane should be on its wheels at the end of March, and maybe flying before summer
I did not post new pics, because time is going so fast, and I got this A330 to finish, mine is also about to be repared, and the KC10 should be the first on the 3 planes to take off
Also, I am not an expert in buiding web pages, and moreover, I need to leave home overseas for my job
I am actualy out of home since beguining of january, I will come back in the beguining of March
That is nice that you ask for updates

RE: Airliners
yes, All of the model I build are on Norbert's basis, even the AWACS on the base of the B 707
The B 747 will have to be full home made

RE: Airliners
No.. I sold both airplanes... The FedEx plane crashed years ago
and I found a brand new video of the second plane on Youtube..
The FexEx plane was the only Very large scale model that I have seen to have thrust to weight close to 1:1
but it did that by not having many detailes and being stand off scale..

RE: Airliners
Are there any guys flying the big airliners in the US.
Eddie have you ever heard of TDL Models, I talk to someone from there and was thinking about having him build me a airliner.

RE: Airliners
I would not have anyone "build me" an airliner. I'd go ahead, if I were you, and learn how to do it your self! Start with a simple kit like the Eflite airliner or such. There are used ones out there. Then move up on to a simple scratch build made of foam and balsa. Use the search function here on RCU and also RCGroups. There are many, many airliner projects - some simple, some amazingly complex. Start out easy with a kit and move forward. If you don't know how to build, you won't know how to fix, repair or keep a complex RC aircraft airworthy. It would be a prohibitively expensive and much less satisfying venture to do this sort of activity without being able to keep it going under your own direction.

RE: Airliners
I could make you a builders kit of all foam... See pic
This along with the CG location and what weight glass to cover the plane with, its just not that hard... Takes time..

I had good 3 view drawings and 1:72 scale plastic model... that is all...
Dry weight was 50-55 lbs 128 oz of fuel for each engine.. ~62 lbs on takeoff.
Wing was not scale thickness as I only made it 3" thick..

RE: Airliners
The first plane was built in 1999 with 2 x AMT Pegasus engines. It flew so well I never even bent the gear in the ~3 years I had it..
Then I sold it to Scott Foster.
The Other DC-10 was built around 2000 and I don't know what happen to it.
