I think these are the biggest wheels I have seen on a Shokjet yet:

RE: TBM Shock Jet
My buddy tried to follow my Shokjet with his FPV plane, which proved more difficult than one would think. His plane is 40 mph WOT. On the second flight I went to full flaps which helped a lot. Actually, he said I was going too slow that time. LOL.
Here is a screen grab and a link to some video.

RE: TBM Shock Jet
Finally got some good video of my shokjet. 2 cameras on board and from the ground. Good fun on a crappy weather day.

RE: TBM Shock Jet
Any problems with running a Y-harness on flaps and the ailerons?
I would like to save a couple channels for brakes and a smoke system!
I'm using a Spektrum Dx7
Thanks

RE: TBM Shock Jet
I had a problem with using a Y on the flaps because they were hinged slightly differently. The gap on one was a little larger than the other and the hinge line was a little higher causing the deflection to be different. I tried to work it out mechancially but gave up and put them on different channels so that I could adjust the end points.

I agree - separate aileron channels for differential.
I never did get my flaps equal in all positions (after trying for hours) and eventually had to use separate flight-mode trims to eliminate any roll with full flap deployment - which works fine.

If I build a "next one", I will do that. For now, the electronic "fix" is good enough.
I had the Nano previously. It was a good airplane, but I never felt like I got it dialed in quite right and had a few hard landings with it. I got a bit frustrated and decided to move everything over the Shokjet, which has worked out better for me. Mind you, the problem was not a "nano" problem, but a problem with the way I had my radio set-up.

Hooker:
I sold off the retracts and the fuel tank, but I have the rest of the Nano left. The fuselage needs a bit of repair - the nose gear block needs to be reinstalled and the wing center section needs a small bit of repair. Putting that aside, the rest is in great shape and I made a nice set of wing bags for the wings, boom and stab, etc. If you want it, I'll give it all to you for a song, so long as you can get up to Maryland or norther virginia to pick it up.

RE: TBM Shock Jet
Troy built has some photos up of the new Shokjet schemes - real ones, not line drawings. I am guessing this means they are off the boat in the good ol' USA.

I was just looking at the new pictures and it seems the ailerons or kind of short compaired to the wingspan the flaps are longer than the ailerons.
