Hey Karl

Doesn't look like it. I received a letter from the Glacier R/Cer's club president telling me that I was not invited back to their event this year because of my demeanor (????). I tried to talk to some of the club guys at last years event and got the cold shoulder. I wrote back to the club president and have heard nothing back. I finally decided that it wasn't worth getting into a big pi$$ing contest of my word against theirs, so I decided to attend another event during July.

According to Mr. Art Grisez ( Pres. of the Glacier R/Cers ) the event is NOT AMA sanctioned and is by invitation ONLY.

BUMMER!

I was putting together a RoadTrip for some guys from So CA to attend. We had Justin Sands and a couple others come down last year to attend BITW, thought we'd reciprocate. []

Looks like a gorgeous place to fly!

Hi David,

We would very much like to have you and everyone attend our event. There are no formal invitations and everyone is welcome!! Only one person has been declined an invitation.

Hope you, Spence and any and all of our friends in the California Crew can attend. We have certainly enjoyed the warm hospitality extended to us. We hope to make it to the Willow soon. Again, everyone is welcome.

Ad,

Glad to hear it! I'm laying the groundwork now to see who can attend, but if I can talk at least two more guys into the trip I will definitely be there!

What is the typical weather there in July? We'd be driving my RV and staying at the field. Would it be okay to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday before the event?

Hello again David,

Of course you can! That is a long drive and we we would be glad to have you fly as much as you want. The wx. should be very nice in mid July but it's dangerous to try second guess mother nature.

We have space for dry camping at the fieldAnother benefit is the scenery from your camper. Looking out of your window to the north you will see distantant mountain vistas and the Big Mountain ski areato the east you will have to force yourself to gaze into Glacier National Park. We hope to have you and all who can make it at show center. We hope you can get afew guys to buddy-up and make the trip. You guys are the "show".

Winds,

Ad Clark

Hey Dave
That would be great if you can make it. Bring Billy and those A-10s, with our mountains as the backdrop it would be awesome!!!!!!! and a heck of show for the crowd.
We make a special effort to bring out the retired vets from our vets home here in the valley to feed them lunch and show them our thanks for their service to our country, they love the military stuff.

Kelly,

I had already planned to take a week off in July to attend Jets over KY, but when I got a look at your facility, I figured a roadtrip might be more fun! I've never been to Montana!

I've got feelers out to several pilots, including Billy, it just depends on who else can take the time off. I'm fairly sure my A-10 would make the trip, but I think we could have a few more military jets to attend. My trailer has room for six jets.

I'll let you know as soon as I can get a couple guys to commit.

O.K. Kelly and Ad. You guys need to get your stories straight. I was planning on attending your event this year but heard from Roy Holt that he was banned from your event. What on earth did he do to deserve that? I have flown with Roy at jet events for a decade and he has not a single nasty bone in his body. He is not only a CD but a very safe and proficient turbine waiver holder.

The president of the club ( Glacier R/C ) that I assume has the field sent him an email saying " the event is NOT AMA sanctioned " What does that mean for insurance? For us Canadians that could be a problem in attending as our insurance may not be valid. Further your president stated clearly that the event was by invitation only. You are saying now that is not the case??? You are the CDs for the event??

What's going on here guys???!!!

Respectfully
Dean Wichmann

No disrespect to anyone, but let's handle the back-door stuff on the back channels. Either through PM or email. Let's not clutter up the event information thread. I'm sure whatever the circumstance none of the people involved want it displayed on RCU for everyone to read.

Anyway, with that being said, I plan on attending the event. A few of the Vegas guys are trying to make the trip, and we'll keep you posted. Special thanks to F-18DiamondBack for volunteering to truck our planes up and back!

Looking forward to the scenery, and possibly joining a militia

Dave, I am trying to put it together but it looks a bit weak. As it turns out, I have a meeting in Telluride, Co the week before! The 6-9 then LA jets on the 24,25,26!! It really would have been great if my meeting was the next week!! I'm still trying and really appreciate the invite!!
