Default Nose Gear Servo Mount

Any one know where to find this.
Some weeks ago I saw a nose gear servo mount made to attach to the strut and control steering. It retracts with the strut and eliminates the typical pull-pull setup. I believe Sean Reit machined it.
Any help??

I saw recently where Sean may be taking a break from the long hours he has spent doing the hobby. If he cannot help you my friend out here in Phoenix Wayne Lane has machined that part before for some others, he can help you. His contact is [email protected]

Thanks Vince and Wayne. Very helpful pics posted Wayne. However, it seems this part won't work in an F-15 with the retract facing forward and the strut swinging forward also.

Thanks, again,

John

John,
any reason you cant reverse the retract? Some brands CAN be reversed if the aircraft will allow. May be possible with your setup?

Pres,
thanks for your imput. But after looking at my Robart nose gear retract I find that it's design won't allow the attachment of this type of an apparatus for a mix of reasons. I'd need to change to another manufacturer. Some other nose gear may work if it could mount onto the one already installed.

Thanks,

John

Nice package in the pictures, I have one concern though regarding the stresses of the servo. Since there is a short, stiff link between the servo and the gear - isn´t there a risk involved in leading all the handling forces into the servo? Seems there should be some "override safety spring" or maybe you have tested it with applicable abuse?

I see a lot of people doing this and I don't understand why. Can someone please tell me what the advantage is of putting the linkage at an angle like was done here as opposed to in a straight line as I have drawn?

Thanks,

Les

Clearance issues with gear door hinges perhaps.
