Default What to do with a Merlin 90

I have a brand new Merlin 90 just laying around my shop...I need to put it to use! I just can't decide what airframe would be a good fit. I have thought of the following:

CARF Flash - but is this turbine too small

BVM Bobcat - this may be a good choice but I already have a kingcat

Skymaster F-16 - I don't know much about this plane

What are some airframes that you think will work with the Merlin 90?

Yep, the Bobcat and Merlin 90 is a great combo.

The CARF Flash would go quite nicely but would be no rocket ship. If that's your thing how about the Graupner Inspiration?

Skymaster Viper jet 2M If my Merlin 90 had arrived a little sooner I would have tried it in my 2M, but instead it went onto something a little different

Bob Neal here in Richmond has a Merlin 90 in a Skymaster F-86. Its a great combination - surprisingly fast...

Search for and review a thread call "new ride for my Rabbit", and you will see an extensive discussion on this very topic !!

I just put my newly acquired Merlin 90 in my FEJ 1/8 F-16. I had a Wren SS (18#) in it and felt that it needed a little more push. From the videos and emails I've exchanged with a few that have this combination it will be a rocket. It'll be a couple of months before the weather is good enough for me to fly it.

Either a Skymaster or FEJ 1/8 F-16 would be ideal, fast with plenty of vertical.

A question for you guys with a Flash/Merlin. What is the weight of your plane with the Merlin?
