Should I grease Glennis wheel brakes
I put Glennis wheels and brakes on one of my planes. They work great, so great that they lock the wheels up at 40 psi!
Should I grease these with Silicone grease? The disc looks like it's made from Black Delrin.

RE: Should I grease Glennis wheel brakes
Vincent,
I tried them on the bench and have flown the plane also, however, I waited until the plane slowed way down before I applied the brakes. They definitely stop the plane.
I'm just worried about wearing out the tires fast or worse, wearing big flat spots in them.

RE: Should I grease Glennis wheel brakes
I have glennis wheels and brakes in my Raptor, they lock up hard, I ended up putting some white grease on the disk inside. They locked so hard in the Raptor that it broke the crappy plastic flex plates that were in there! Previous times they locked up hard enough to take the tires off the rims (glue your tires, they don't stay on the rims worth a crap)

RE: Should I grease Glennis wheel brakes
Don't grease the brakes - this is not necessary like it is with an O-ring brake. Why? It attracts dirt and grit and that causes brake problems. The brake is a low pressure brake, and 40 lbs is the locking pressure for most applications.
If you are going to lube the axles, don't use a petroleum based product.
The valve may be your problem, I have had guys say they had trouble with the Jetronics.

RE: Should I grease Glennis wheel brakes
I know this sounds obvious .. but I have on a couple of occasions teed into the brake line on the proportional valve output to watch the brake pressure as a function of applied brake control .. mostly to get a feel for how to setup any expo on the channel that runs the proportional brake to be able to get a more linear feeling to the application. I found that a lot of expo was required to get it to feel linear .. without expo, most of the useful travel was at the end of the control throw of the slider I was using. Not so different than what you need to do on some gasoline motors thorottle controls.
