ok ordered some parts I needed

work has slowly begun.

There are a few problem areas.
Nothing major.
I noticed the stabs do not fit into the provided holes, they will have to be dremeled out a bit.

Also a missing part here and there.

like this part from the websites photo manual did not come in the kit, the elevator servo mount

The engine mounts do not fit the pipe supports or fuse.
They had to be cut and modified.

I think I found a tiny mistake, nothing major.
Looks like they made the plug with one intake slightly off center.

That's so that in the event of a flameout, it will go into a gentle right hand circle. LOL

Thanks
Derrek

Could they possibly be replacement landing gear rails? I don't see how they would arbitrairly send a second set; or maybe they go to another kit instead. How long are they?

they kind of remind me of landing rails for the rafale
maybe a mix up in packaging

Ok Bob found where those parts fit.

Not sure of the purpose, maybe fuse stiffening?

Also having a laser cutter made it handy for him to cut the missing part out from scratch for the elevator servo mount

Ok new problem.

The brass collet that is supposed to engage the bearing in the control rod, on one side, is too large in diameter and interferes with the control rod when tightened. Bob's solution was to reduce the diameter of the collet, (very carefully with a dremel wheel) until it fits inside the hole in the control rod.

Engine mounts are too wide for a P-70, added wood.

added an extra heatshield to protect the elevator servo's, they seem very close to the tailpipe
just a bit of insurance

carved on it till it fit.
