the savage is the best for jumping in my opinion, but your statement about not wanting upgrades, if you are going to hold to that statement, don't even bother buying a MT, because no matter what truck you buy, things will BREAK and you will have to UPGRADE. That is why it is a hobby. things break you fix or upgrade, especially if your talking about jumping. Just my two cents worth, good luck on what ever you choose and let us know when you start upgrading

If you are really that lazy not to decide for yourself or research it, i am going to tell you what you need to go out and buy and will last longer than ANY other MT on the market. go to your bank and close your savings account and checking account. now take that money and put it into an envelope and send it to Unlimited Engineering and buy a complete Supermaxx. this is the only way not to upgrade stuff and be the best

how many people ask the same question everyday? I'm going to start counting how many times people ask "which is the best truck?"
If you really want to find out, do a search or ask your LHS or something else.

NJ thats a good idea, but even then, if he launches off of huge ramps, he will still have to replace something over time. Then again there are those days that some people have that you cant even carry the darn thing through the house without breaking something, myself included.

XTM X-Factor for rock crawling. But if you really want to crawl get a Clodbuster and convert it to a Clodzilla or get some other kind of chassis, or a TXT-1.

Heh, save then if you really want a crawler, although they don't generally top about 9-10 mph due to the fact they are made for crawling and not speed, just torque.

If you're looking for a rock crawler that can also jump with the right upgrades, buy a Tamiya TXT-1. Its electric. With just the stock mechanical speed control silver-can 540 motors, it tops out at about 7 mph, but has insane amounts of torque, due to its 35:1 gear ratio. But sick in a couple of 12 turn motors and a hot ESC, maybe 2 battery packs and you've got a bashing machine with CRAZY suspension articulation for crawling that tops out at around 25 mph!!

Yea but with 12 turns you won't crawl ****, not to mention the TXT-1's high center of gravity due to having the motors and tranny and battery up top, it can high center over stuff a Clodzilla would go over no problem. The Clod has its motors mounted on the gear box for a lower CoG.
