Default A Good MT for under $400?

What is a good nitro MT for a FNG, under $400 dollars. I've been electric for 12 years and I want a nitro now. I dont know if this helps or not but I have an E-Maxx.

Associated MGT 4.6.. Lots of people seem to say good stuff about it.. Solid choice.

i agree with patrickbw 100%

i have an mgt and its great. very easy to work on and tune. its very durable and is very fast. ive taken mine off jumps and it just keeps going. it handles very good too. i just got red spring for it and i cant get it to flip over. lol

Monster GT, Aftershock, Savage X.

the Savage is a little over $400, but it's a solid truck...in my (and a lotta other peoples') opionions, the Savage is more bashworthy in stock form than the MGT and Aftershock/LST, but they're all good solid trucks.

Oh yeah, forgot the Tamiya TNX pro

Either one of the above is probably your best bet for under $400, I think the Monster GT is a little tougher, both are easy to work on, the Losi will be a little faster and handle better stock and comes with a better radio/electronics - doesn't have reverse though (if that even matters to you) ... theres also a good selection of after market parts for both

the Losi is $399 and the MGT you can find at several different places for under $400, so you are mistaken..

If racing isn't in the equation, a stock Savage 25 is probably a better bet than all of the others... That's only MY opinion, yes - and yes, that's the truck that I happen to have. But I think, aside from what I've seen of mine to convince me of that, there is an AWFUL lot out there in the forums to convince one of that as well - it convinced me to get mine in the first place - and has proven to be very correct..

That said, I'm thinking of getting the Thunder Tiger MTA4 S28 as well(which is identical to the MGT 4.6), based largely on all the positive stuff I've read about it - plus the fact that it's just big..

(plus easy and - here in Germany anyway - cheap to work on..)

Yo, RCmart.com also has the GS racing SUT CE for only 379$ or something like that. Very good deal. Nice MGT clone too

All the Aftershock is is an LST1 with no electric starter and plastic shock bodies. all the parts are readily available and the bugs are worked out of it.

Also, that isn't a Monster GT clone, that IS a Monster GT. the Monster GT is sold under Thunder Tiger's name elsewhere in the world. Thunder Tiger OWNS Associated, and they have for a while now. it's no secret.
