Default Twin engine monster trucks.

Hello everyone

This weekend I went bashing around with my truck. I had some friends that came along too. A couple of friends of my had a kyosho giga crusher df and a hot bodies lightning gtx2. They have insane power! When they just nab the gas throttle there trucks flip over. I would like to buy one, but they are not cheap. Anyone ever had a twin engine mt?

Is that what I saw flying over the moon???????????[sm=49_49.gif] Dual engines are good for replicating the originals, but, unless your truck weighs proportionately to the big boys trucks(in scale weight) give it up.

Just find the biggest clutchbells and the smallest spur gear for your appropriate truck and you can somewhat tame the wheelies and give it 55mph+ speed[8D]

I have (but took it off) a Big Twin Truckzilla kit for my old Savage, and that thing would go insane fast, and I had a 3 speed in it, and I could pull wheelies going like 40 MPH in 3rd gear. But I took it off because the engines didnt hold a tune very well, and its a big pain to get them tuned and running the same. Now when you get them both tuned so exactly like each other, the sound from both engines sync, and its the coolest sounding thing ever, but again, its hard to get them tuned equally like that. Too much hassle, so I just took the kit out and put the truck back in original form. But if you dont want to deal with 2 engines, but want the power of 2, and you have a Savage, buy the .46 Truckzilla... my friend has that on his Savage, and it was just as fast as mine with the dual engine setup.

I used to have a Lightning GTX2, fun truck but hell to tune. Once I got it tuned, it was a blast to run but I had to retune so often it wasnt really worth it.

I had a good friend before he past, who had the titan twin, the thing was an animal but there not fun to tune, or brake in.

and starting them, that's another story. they do have insane power ones that running, nothing but torque. But try tuning a twin engine savage, with twin wasp .26's. That was the worst!

this is the savage that has the wasp's, and yes it is a girls truck, with a forward motor conversion.

I always wated to get one but like you said the price is well, could be spent on better things!

That's a very nice savage. Yeah, like you said, they are very hard to start. But, what if the engines were roto starter? Will it be easier?

Like everyone says.  The twin engine monster trucks seemed to be too much power for the weight, and also hard to tune.

I ran a Twin Titan and a totally tricked out Giga Crusher DF. 100% not worth the hassle. Wouldn't do it again.
