Nice bike man.
I am thinking of getting into some bikes. I have an EMaxx and a Slash but I saw the bikes in RC Xtreme I think is was and was like "whoa I need one of those".
Leaning towards the Kyosho kit like yourself. How difficult was the build?
I've built trucks and buggies and a plane but not a bike.

I don't have a paint scheme yet. Was thinking black, white and red always loved that color combo. Black and gold sounds pretty awesome too. I know it is going to get scuffed to all hell so maybe just a single solid color for the bike like flat black (I have a thing for flat black).

Black and gold would be sweet. I was thinking of going blue with gold.
My 4 year old son is an X Men fan and he's got last say on what I paint. Thinking blue with gold trim.

I have a ton of HopUp's so I know for sure any fitment issues with upgrades will be acknowledged first hand by me. I don't normally like to do pictures while building cause I'm lazy but I will try to snap as many as I can especially regarding upgraded parts.

It really is a nice scheme. I'll post up pics whenever I get it and get started.
The mods should start a picture thread.

Well I had a few free hours to work on my bike. So far all of the upgrade parts from Hot Racing have went in nicely and I'm happy. Here is my progress so far! [8D]

It is the chrome plated plastic pieces. I went overboard on this kit but if I love it this much and haven't even driven it yet I think it's worth it.

You will love the way it rides, just go into a large flat rock free area and it will take a bit to learn but its one of the easer bikes to run. I ran mine yester day and even with the lighter front wheel it was super stable.

After adding the venom soft tires (as well as other parts see abouve) it runs like a dream! even smoother than before. Its like night and day! So if you have not yet gotten the hotracing rims and venom tires do it now. It runs better than my GPV-1.

Better than a GPV-1! Not knocking Venom at all but Japanese kits always seem to be well... better.

RE: Kyosho NSR 500 Honda Build
I am like 1/2 way through the build it sucks not having free time when you want it. I installed the ESC/motor and the fit wasn't too bad, I actually just went with a complete Castle system on this. For those of you planning on ordering the Hot Racing main gear for the 12t or 11t adapter you'll need to get the Kyosho metal gear set as well. Right now I have one plastic gear until the Kyosho set comes in. It should hold up for a few runs and I'll tear it down and replace it when it goes out. Actually after inspection the plastic gears seem pretty tough and they should hold up to BL power just fine as long as they are greased and meshed properly as long as it is all plastic. Metal and plastic don't mix well.
Forgot to add that if you use the Castle motor and Hot racing gear case in order to get the mounting screws for the motor to fit through the hole you'll need to Dremel it out a bit.

Ok so I had to make some adjustments. The ESC was causing the motor to twitch and bug out initially. I updated the software to the latest rev and then reprogrammed the controller with ESC and now it works great! As for the battery tray I had to Dremel out a small portion because I was getting wheel rub.

The Hot Racing front shocks/fork was broken when it arrived. There was a crack in the little stopper thing so I swapped it out with the OEM ones which were built better anyways.

I think you said you had rubbing issues with your forks Grim right? I didn't have rubbing/binding problems but I did have a lot of play with the wheel on the shaft. I dug through my spare parts stuff and found these spacers from Tamiya leftovers and they fit perfectly. I only had 6 and 3 on each side was exactly what I needed to make it sit perfectly. The washer measured 6mm in diameter with a 4.5mm opening and .30mm thick for each side. It looks like this:
