I have another question for my jato 3.3... I stripped my stock spur gear (which is I think 54 teeth), so I got another one with 58 teeth...the 58 tooth one doesn't seem to fit in there right... Any suggestions?

the 58 tooth spur gear doesnt seem to fit where the 54 toothe spur gear was.... In other words, the place where the spur gear goes..

If you look at the manual page 44 http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...3man150dpi.pdf
You can see in the chart with a stock bell gear 24t a 58t spur dose not work. You must use a 54t or 56t spur gear....

Hey everyone, would like some pointers on hop-ups and setup, got board of my 1/6 petrol so sold it and just got a bargin new Jato, i have read the ultimate off-road bit on traxxas and ordered the following so far;
proline torque 30 front / rear wheels
proline badlands 30 tyres
20t clutch
10k diff oil
rpm arms front / rear
anyone have good offroad setup tips?

I just bought some Traxxas Talon tires...The are pretty good off road.. I think the Revo uses them... Btw I went to my Hobby shop and got a 56 tooth Spur gear, so my Jato 3.3 is up and running!!!

hey guys i am new here and i have a jato 3,3 and i have a question
i was driving out one day when i couldnt control my jato and it truned and hit a curb
i got it and looked over at the damage and i found out that where the metal piece connects to the transmission has broken off
the metal wasnt bent just the plastic piece that connects to the transmission broke....do i need a new transmission case?
please help me

What metal peace are you talkin about? Can you take a picture or something? Or maybe look up the name of the part on the exploded view.

hey stinky long time no talk. So I got a few questions for ya. 1. you bell gear is missing in one of those pics are you having trouble with them and the steel spur gear, I did I went through three bell gears in one day what is up with that? 2. How come you didn't get the lundsford Turnbuckles I see the traxxas ones which I think are weak in the front and some stock ones in the back?? Now with all that weight on the front end are you still popping wheelies? How much of a difference did you notice with the metal spur gear performance wise?
And was this before or after the driveshaft upgrade??
