RE: Talk me out of buying a Jato!!!
How do you explain you having bad luck with your TMaxx and Ive had mine for 7 years, 3 teenagers beat the snot out of it and never once broke any suspension part or blew the engine? Driver error. I know 3 legally blind ppl who have drivers licenses, that doesnt make them good drivers.[>:]

think of it this way, if traxxas's plastics were so great, rpm rc products wouldn't have a need to make parts for traxxas
but no matter what anyone has to say about a bad experience with traxxas, you always have to argue with them.

I've had a bad experience with a Jato, the truck's front right suspension was totaled with a 5mph hit on a big BFI trash can.

Just like you will b**ch about anyone saying they have good luck with traxxas. Its personal experiance, versus your opinion. I live it, you think it. Thats the difference, thats the grounds for it. Yours is OPINION, Mine is FACT!

me, but since we have already made our points, it should be good enough for the next browser to make a valid choice.
If they want a flame war, let them have it. annie, you and i both know whats good and not, we've already test driven it.

Yea. It is a good truck just it dosen't make any sense. It didn't change the ST normalities, nor is it a out-of-the box kind of truck. Race or bash.

annie i will have to agree with you that the only thing out of the box it is great for is street but think of it this way kits without engines tires and etc aren't good for anything lol. thats y u see mine so up graded and who ever commented about rpm with traxxas look at the savage the savage's a-arms are indestructable and yet rpm made a-arms thats what confuses me why would u want to make a part that you don't need lol and personalley i got my jato used and i haven't had to do anything to it and it came bone stock and look what i did to it and for my tmaxx i put rpm a-arms on it but it didn't break any parts. wierd huh? well i am not tryin to flame or anything also i think it is stupid that they dis continued the 2.5 jato that hing is made for off road and thats what stadium truck are meant to do i know it is n't as off road equipped as most stadium truck but why would traxxas be dumb a####

annie_himself - I agree with you 100% on that one... hehe... I would much rather get kits over RTRs. RTR is great for those just getting in the hobby or what ever... But I prefer to build it so I can work on it easier... Plus I have a nice radio... lots of extra motors and servos.
Normally for my RTRs... I completely take them apart and rebuild them before break in.
But for the rest of everything... you guys need to chill out. everyone can think what they want. what ever. if you disagree so what.

RE: Talk me out of buying a Jato!!!
I have crashed my Jato 3.3 at about 60 mph into a wall and I had it rebuilt in about 1 and 1/2 hours with about $40.00 worth of parts from E-bay. Thats not a bad average considerig a 60 mph crash into a wall!!! The only prob I have had is the tired ripping off. and I think It;s because when it bounces off of the wheelie bar it lands sideways and chips the rims.... But to answer the First Question in this thread.... It's not much fun in the dirt, but it is the #1 car in the world on the pavement!!!!!!!!!
