Default Turn a Mt2 into a truggy!!?

hi guys,

I want to let my Hpi mt2 look like a truggy. Im gonna make a big order at TowerHobbies, this is my setup:

Im planning to make dual disk mod, i made a custom upperdeck myself

What do i have to buy more too let it look/ peform like a truggy?
And the stuff that i picked, is it good? or do you guys say you better can take this/that...?

Thanks Liu

mabye some bigger wheels and tires, 17mm hexes, but then you'd have to change the gearing to accomadate them...If you are going w/ the .18 try to get an 1/8 buggy filter (looks and performance)...other than that it looks good

Your missing brake pads, and a ofna hyper 7 wing and wing mounts work better imo...

i doubt bigger tires and wheels will work, they will probably rub the chassis and they wont allow your truck to handle very well, if you want to build your own custome truggy just get a hellfire ss kit

@rcdudegermy08 i want this spoiler cuz it is not too extremly wide, other 1/8 spoilers are like 21 cm wide, this is a 1/10 spoiler 17cc wide. And im gonna make custom wing mount . The filter i took is a high peformance filter(3 stage filter), many buggy's does have this right? What do you mean with a buggy filter anywhay :P, istnt it right that a filter just is a filter????

@MastaDizasta
My dad got some braking pad fibre from his work, it will work also

Hmm bigger tires is not nessacery right.. the standard ones are wide enough for my car and what murawskiallen said, it probb wil rub the chassis.

How about the diff oil?

I thought 5000 front and 5000 rear will be nice, i heard standard for truggy's / buggys the visicosity is 5000 front, and 2000 rear. Should i do this too?

The diffs on the mt2 are not sealed. They use grease not oil

and u said hpi dish wheels were to expensive. Remember to get some heavy-duty diffs u dont need a steelspur gear just mesh it right and u wont have a problem. Before i striped spurs like crazy i adjusted the engine and now ive been running the same spurgear for about 6 months. POST PICS of ur upperdeck. IMO remember if the peeps dont post pics most of the time they are lying.

I got a mt2 18ss version so de diffs are sealed

@rapsucks_07I will take a picture but the car isnt assembled. I think i will post it tonight . There is no other dish that will 100% fit, i took this one(and my budget went like 20 euro's higher thats like 25~30 dollar). So..

On the TH site i coudlt find the lightning 10 wing mount....

and heavy duty stuff is allready in a 18ss version. So i dont have to buy any other Heavy Duty parts.

looks great!! I'd say 48 gearing, but I like torque, and lap times are made in the corners

same here, my lhs has a pretty small track so i dont have much use for top speed, i run a 52t spur and a 13t vented cb

i agree on the .18 cv-rx
what an awesome engine
i have it in my hpi mt1
and wow it rips
i would say a gearing that gives more top speed
it has waaayyyy too much torque and the top end is not great

Liu, I went with bigger tires on my MT2 and it looks pretty mean that way... not much bigger, I can check and let you know the exact ones that I went with...

I think they were proline dirt hawgs, bashers or dirt works... at any rate, they are a bit bigger than stock but not monster truck/truggy size..

the OS .18 CVR is a fantastic choice, between this and the tire change my truck is ballistic!
