rc10gt tire wheel problem
I have a rc10gt with the new era big block conversion with an ofna picco .26. The problem I have is with the wheels. after playing for a while the tires either come unglued or the center of the wheel breaks out. This thing is very fast and has tons of tourque. What is the strongest wheel available for the gt? Is there a better way to glue? I have thought about trying to screw the tire to the wheel too. I havent had much luck with aluminum wheels either. I have tried beedlocks also but they wind up coming apart. It is getting expensive to go through 2-3 sets of tire/wheel per tank of fuel.
Thanks
Thanks

RE: rc10gt tire wheel problem
The .26 is overkill.
Before gluing tires wipe all surfaces to be glued with rubbing alcohol.
Also you can score the bead of the wheels with an X-acto knife for better adhesion.
I like to run a extra bead of glue around both beads of the rim after the glue is dry.

Yes i know it is overkill. I have plenty of stock and racing vehicles to drive, I wanted to build an overkill project.
Thanks for the tips. Is there a company that makes a stronger plastic wheel? What about hex adapters for the rc10gt?

I was going to say go aluminum but you already did that so I won't bother, the only thing that comes into my mined is change the carburetor for a lesser CFM flow. Yeah I know it will kill the power but not by much look at it this way? at least you get to drive it and the wheels will last a lot more. just my two cents.
Ps: Have a video?
