It was the slipper and crap. I had to get a new spur gear (other friend screwed it up hah) and then my friend fixed the gear mesh and slipper nut. It runs awesome now!

Most screws on the rc10gt are 1.5mm or 2mm. These wrenches strip out a lot, so you may want to keep some of them around. About you tire spinning problem...If yor diff nut is not tight or if it is broken it could cause that problem. It is only a 5 dollar fix, but it is a lot fo work. i would talk to the guy you got it frmo and find out what he has done to it.

Yeah I got the diff/tranny problem fixed already (posted above yours) - it was the slipper/spur and gear mesh!!

I'll probably just buy the same Dynamite set of sockets and hex wrenches that my friend has, sometime when I'm feeling rich

I am having a problem with the spur gear on my GT. It keeps stripping out, i dont think its the gear mesh. I recenty upgraded to a four shoe clutch and ive stripped 3 spurs inside of an hour. The slipper is losened all the way, so the only thing i can think of is getting a metal spur gear. Anyone have any ideas? or different ways to check gear mesh, other then the pice of paper between the clutch and the spur?

Is it possible for my slipper nut to be coming out?? I'm running an OS 18, so it's got a lottt of power going through it. I think it's slowly coming loose again, and I don't have a socket that fits it. What's the cheapest socket set and cheapest hex set I can buy that will fit all the screws that are on it? I know I'll need a 1/4" socket and 1/16" hex... any ideas? CHEAP?

I'm having the same problem still, but have determined it's NOT the slipper. It's now something inside the tranny... I've taken all the slipper stuff off, and I can hold the tires (CVD's not moving) and turn that shaft and it turns. So something inside the tranny case is messed up... I'm hopefully going out soon to get the hex/allen wrench that I need, and I'll be able to open it up.

I fixed it!! It was a combination of the diff screw and the slipper nut. I need a new differential spring - I just realized tonight that I don't have one!! Maybe that will help the problem. I bought a Craftsman 1/16" ball hex driver and Craftsman 1/4" socket - now I think I have a tool for all the screws/nuts on the truck [8D]

I'd say go with anything made by OS. The one you linked to doesn't look good to me... too expensive for a decent racing motor. Unless you wanna unload a whole bunch into the motor, then a whole bunch into reinforcing parts that will break, go with a ~$100 OS motor.

You don't want that. How deep are your pockets? lol
For a budget, OS.12 cv-r engine is great for the price. But if your willing to pay a bit more, I would recommend a NovaRossi .12.

the motor you showed cant be raced legaly its a .15, are you really gonna race or just dink around, If your actually going to race i would suggest a picco.12 or a novarossi and if you go back no more than 3 pages there is a whole page of motors and links from me

OS 18 - good choice

With mine, my friend and I just used the parts from the stocker motor (collet, some sort of small black flywheel, stock clutchbell and shoes, etc.) The only thing we had to do was cut the shaft to fit. I had the regular crankshaft length cuz I had originally bought the motor for my ST-15. So my friend just Dremeled it off, and it works great!! It bolted right on to the pullstart motor mount with no problems.

So.. if you're going to buy a new OS .18 (which I highly recommend), get this one http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGGP8&P=ML

Hey all,
Im having a problem with my truck. I can not seem to get it started. When I plug the exhaust and pull on the starter cord a few times nothing really happens, the fuel just sits at the bottom of the fuel line and moves about 1/4 inch up the line and back down. It kind of sounds like an air leak just before it goes back down. I pulled the line off the carb and tried it again and out came the fuel very easily. I put the line back on the carb and pulled the line that goes in the pipe and blew into it. I could get it about half way up. I pulled on the throttle and at about 6/8 throttle the fuel moved into the carb with ease. I tried to start it and nothing. I can put fuel right into the carb and it will run for about a second and cut out. Does this sound like a plugged up carb? If so what can I do about it.

First off, try the easiest thing: Replace all the fuel tubing and check all fuel tubing connections. If that doesn't fix it, then it's beyond my knowledge

I was able to get my front wheels (bigass heavy truck w/alum) off the ground by adding some more zipties to hold on my battery in the back! I'd say just try adding weight in the back first before you buy anything. Maybe that'll make it do wheelies, and you wont need to buy anything!
