Hello
I'm doing finishing with glass cloth 25 g/m2 on the fuse and painting only in white for maiden flight if sometimes it's necessary to make some modifications.

Hello
the plane is finished.
It remains to install the switch, receiver and the plate support accus propulsion.
the paint of the fuselage will be made after the first flights and possibly modifications
Maiden flights will be made in about ten days

Is it silk ? http://www.morris-hobby.jp/43_730.html
What dope do you put with silk?
Do you add talc in the dope for the finish?

Yes its that type off silk , if its easyer with silk than thin glass I'm not really sure . Dope, I used ordinary oldfashion dope not the Ezcote thing (or what its called) and With talkum after the first coat to glue the silk.
I added fisrt the silk then 2-3 coats with talkum depending if it was needed to fill then normal Automotive filler before basecoat and finally clearcoat.
weight just under 5 kg ( I hope I can trust my weight)

Hello Rune
I think silk is more lighter than glasscloth.
Did you have problems of pulling dope and talkum under paint when you removed the scotch ?

If silk or glass is lightest I really dont know , this has nothing to do With the weight off the material but it has I think With the materials way to "Close" for the dope so it not goes in to the balsa , but also how much filler you need, One thing is that the silk is not as loose in the weaw as the glass but thats makes it a bit more dificult to work With but not much ; I also tried to used a hot iron on it to make it flat but that was diffucult , so I hang the pieces in my work shop and sprayed it With water and let i dry before using it
