My dad and I have our own biplanes!
We call them Sting Bi and they are my dads very own, cad designed pattern ships. Everything is cut out with our own cnc router. They have elevator and top wing adhedral, and are the best flying airplanes I've ever owned. My dad owns the first version, which is powered by a ys 175. It weighs approx 4900 grams. My biplane is redesigned to be light, and is powered by an electric neu f3a motor and supports 5000mah hobbyking batteries. rtf weight is approx 4150 grams A new full composite design is in the works...

Do you have files/plans/parts, or whatever that you can share or sell?
(not that I can afford to build anything at the moment )

Going to try either the DLE 35R or PTE36 with an ES 40cc carbon pipe in an old Piedmont Focus II as a test bed. Both engines appear to be about equal in weight. Not sure which to go with yet...leaning toward the DLE. I was looking to do something similar with the Vanquish also....How do you plan to work the pipe into it? Did a L'Essence some years ago and had to mold a Carbon Fiber pipe tunnel ....maybe something similar would work on the Vanquish.

I have 10 flights on the PTE36R/Vanquish combination. There is more than enough power there. Not as much as an OS33GT but enough for the job at hand. I had mentioned to Claude (Papaone) to use the Mintor 38cc aluminum pipe which is what I'm using in the Vanquish. The combination is quieter then the muffler but noisier than the ESComposites pipe. The exposed pipe also contribute to the noise footprint but aluminum is ringy naturally.
In contrast, my OS/ESComposites combination is fully enclosed, turning larger propellers and is whisper quiet.
Will be testingthe DLE35RAin Vanquish next year. Good looking engine form the outside

We don't have plans at this point, as our next version is being built right now, but we'll see how it turns out next year with plans or selling a kit. The plane was designed on solid works by my dad, and all of the parts are cut by our cnc router, so a kit couldbe a possibility for the next year.

Very nice pictures, Claude!
It appears as though you are supporting several young flyers with your airplanes, that is fantastic! You are a very generous man.

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!
Hi Claude,
Did BPLR fly this year? It is very good to hear of the strong support Yamada has with F3A in France.
I don't have much for myself at the moment. My work with Horizon Hobby keeps me very busy. I built the prototype Splendor for Quique last year as well as recovered my ExtremeFlight Vanquish F3A. This year I will work to have two Partners (one from QQ, one "new") flying and go to as many contests as I can. I have made arrangements to fly in our national championships for the first time since 2007.
I do want a building project, and I have slowly been working on building a Harmonie. When I start, I will send you pictures.
Best regards,
Ryan

Hi Ryan
We did'nt see Benoit on selection contests and championship this year.
I built another Passion for a friend Eric who wanted same design as my Harmonie and I'm painting it.
Last picture is before painting name and varnishing.

Hello Matt
Engine is RCGF32, header is Hatori GSA 30 (same as OS 33GT), exhaust tuned pipe is Webra.
Friend of mine Stéphane Bernard with same engine/header/tuned pipe uses APC 20x10,5 RPM is about 7200 t/mn and APC 20,5x10 RPM is about 7000 tr/mn.
Lenght between engine and tuned pipe is 740 mm / 750mm.

Thank you....
I've seen Stephane's data and graph before. The RCGF32 is more than adequate for the job of flying pattern sized models.
The pipe looks small. I can only wonder if the RCGF was run on the ESComposites pipe what the output would be. But I'm sure you have found that the full top end is hardly ever used to fly 2m Pattern
