I precise the weight :
engine : YS 63 FZ S
radio : two Futaba S9102 for ailerons,
one graupner DS5391 (numeric)
one futaba S9202 for the rudder
and one futaba S9601 (mini servo) for throttle
batteries : 6 V 600 mah
I added a MK dual elevator bell crank S (ball bearing)
I replace all hardware by MK products (triangular control horns, B.B. clevises)
I also put a Hyde soft mount that I had in stock (that was on my majestic 1400)
Cheers

Erdel,

I talked to Kyosho Sales Rep. So far, no pricing.
I have them on order and not sure about the delivery date yet.
However, Oxalys should be available within the next couple of months.
Send me an E-mail to [email protected] I will have you on my product update E-mail lists.

Thanks,

hi all,

I got my oxalys today and will be running the YS 63S on it. one question though, i have a kyosho majestic as well and the covering was a nightmare, it peeled off as if there was no tomorrow despite ironing again after opening from the box, so i would like to ask wad kind of covering the oxalys is filmed with and any methods to counter such a problem should it arise just like the majestic?

thanks.

I think the covering is oracover (ultracote) which is popular in Japan.
Since it is low heat covering, you should be able to iron out the wrinkles if any.

Hello Montblanc
one pic of the MK dual ball crank, I put two plywood glued on the fuselage behind the bell crank (with epoxy)

The covering is not oracover or monokote, I think it's a kyosho film made because it's thicker than oracover

When I get to fly.... Yishun, punggol mainly. How about you?

And guess what, I've got a G trick too! Bought the YS110 but yet to put the whole thing together. What are you gonna fly with in yours? and where do you fly it?

great that should do. thanks!

will be using the new hatori short pipe hatori #640 and header hatori #643 for this plane, since the header is not in stock at my LHS, i needa get some clarifications. the firewall has a built in right thrust, so since the #643 is a rigid header and with the given right thrust, is it necessary to have the engine mounted at a slight angle so that the header will be aligned together with the center of the fuselage?

btw, athos7, did u use the supplied 260 cc tank or did u use a bigger one? thx

The plane is awesome !!! It flies better than the majestic 1400, it's really a reduced scaled airplane compared to the original, the rudder is very "soft" (the majestic's rudder was very nervous, it was seen in flight), the knife-edge is very stable and only 3 % mix (rudder/elevator, rudder/aileron) is necessary to make perfect knife-edge,
However, the landing is a bit difficult because the plane doesn't want to land and you will need a long runway to land the beat, but I always use throttle cut to land the oxalys as the others pattern airplanes.
The YS 63 FZ S is awesome : the power is unlimited and I'm always in break-in.
To conclude, I advice this plane to everybody who likes perfect flight.
Cheers

Athos:

Thanks for the REPLY, one more question, does the OXALYS came with the preparation for installing a mini-tune pipe for the YS 63?

Thanks again!!

APC 13X6 with a YS silencer or a Hatori pipe: good all round performer
APC 12X8 with Hatori short pipe : my current pattern flying set-up
RAM 13X6 (wide blade) with a YS silencer : for 3D and free style sport flying
In any case prop it for around 11000rpm peak.
Hope this helps.
