Excelleron 90 vs. Venus II
I'm interested in purchasing an entry level pattern plane (90 size). I understand that there are still some Excelleron 90s available from Hobby People and the Venus II is readily available from Tower Hobbies. How do these two planes compare - flying characteristics, quality of construction, etc.? Thanks for your help.

The Excelleron is a nice ship but you might consider a small wait. Hobby People is going to release the next gen. called the Remedy 120; Fliton was showing off their new 90 sized pattern design at the convention and it will be availavle in a few months.

I have an excelleron 90 with an OS120AX and it is a pefect combo. However, I also recommend that you wait. In fact, read the
post on the updated focus II entrly level pattern plane ( focus II is excellent plane)........... I think you will see three or four new entrly level palttern planes ready in the next 4-5 weeks.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. Even though I'm anxious to get started, I think I'll take your advice and wait for the new planes to come out.
