JR Servo's - What's Next ?
Called Horizon today to order DS 9411 SA's. Discontinued. Few week's ago, called to order DS 3421 SA's. Discontinued. However, they are available with metal gear train. I am not an expert, and ask a lot of question's on here.
Am I OK with metal gear's ? In Focus Sport now, using nylon gear 9411's on aileron's, and the nylon gear 3421's on elevator half's. Followed Troy Newman's build thread. Now, putting together another Focus Sport, just duplicating everything. Using JR 921 receiver's,, 2.4 ghz.
Just average flyer here, no hero stuff. Any semi-pro's or pro's reading this, what would you use on the wing's, with JR equipment ? Appreciate any comment's.

Metal gears will be fine. If you really want plastics you can order the plastic gear set for both 9411's and 3421's and put them in yourself. They discontinued, IMO, the plastic gears because with the 3 year warranty on JR there were too many people putting the plastic gear servos in the wrong places and breaking them.
9411's would be perfect for the ailerons on a Focus.

Vince,
If you replace the gears with the nylon gears on the link I gave you, Don't try to replace the final output gear. It is a pain to remove and you will likely screw up the pot. (Guess how I know.)
