Right now, we're planning to take turns between rounds because it appears there will be AMA/FAI guys flying the SPA/BPA contest too.

I am looking forward to attending, it's my wife's birthday weekend. So I am waiting for the right moment to mention it to her, if you know what I mean. It does sound like a great time and I do have an Ultrasport with a YS on a pipe to fly in the BPA.

FAI will fly as many rounds of P on Saturday as time (daylight) permits and F on Sunday.

if you plan to fly either SPA or BPA, go to the Senior Pattern website (http://www.seniorpattern.com/contests.htm) and pre-register for the particular class you plan to fly.
To pre-register for BPA, fill out as much as possible and under the comment section, put in BPA and the class you plan to fly in.

Well all, here is another Tangerine bound BPA Plane!
Gary and I painted his Phenoix 8, with mold date 1978!!
Covering and servos and she is ready to go.

I hope to make there, but i am sure Gary will be there

Here are some pics from Sunday's 'practice' session at the field. Needless to say, mine was literally cut short (make sure you always look before letting your plane go). It'll live to see another day, but for Tangerine it looks like my dad will have to fly the new Eon. I don't think he'll mind... it's electric after all. Thank you Blake for the pics.

Well I haven't been out flying in a couple of weeks, and MAY get a couple of days before the contest if I'm lucky. I'm over my head in balsa, foam and primer dust, and under the weather to boot. Hopefully it'll break loose in the next week or so and I can go play with this new 170 a little.

if the weather holds and it works out, we'll try to get some pics of the maiden on Mike's Aurora next week. Still haven't made it out to do that.

BTW JAS I'll email you those weights in a few minutes....

Hey all,

I was wondering if anybody was coming out from the Houston area. I have a Black Magic kit that needs transportation out to Houston for a new friend that is getting into pattern flying. I have a built fuse crutch and cores so it will take up a little room....

or maybe someone that might be driving through Houston, that could do this favor, just thought I would ask :)

If you can help a brother out please let me know.

.Thanks Jason - hasn't been my month :( ... loosing the Dalton MEL 300 sucked for sure. I finished out with John Shroder's Carden 260. Another one is one the way though :)
