Default Futaba move good for them and the hobby

Futaba is moving their usa hq and service center to Huntsville. its a smart move for them and the hobby to separate from the old hobbico location.

Will have to see. Different circumstances of course, but I thought that JR becoming their own distributor would be great for them as well.

JR was already on slim standings when that took place. Futaba is a large solid company of which RC is a very small part. Their USA distribution/service center was in Irvine, California for many years prior to Hobbico taking on the exclusive role.

Smart move to return to parent company.

Futaba is a big company. I believe MRC did own the franchise in the US. I don't know if they still do, and were collecting royalties from Tower.

I have only seen that they are establishing a service center in Huntsville. I haven't seen that retail sales will be handled there.

if it follows the old california pattern, it will be a service/repair center, and distribution center to retail outlets.
