Just out of curiosity, if you wanted to make a futaba wall charger charge a JR transmitter battery would it be a simple matter of cutting the charge lead, reversing the wires and soldering them back together - or is it more complicated than that?

I believe the charge jacks are different sizes also.

Yes Just reverse the polarity and well mark the charger for JR only.

As IronZ mentioned the JR center pin is slightly smaller so using the plug from Futaba charger the contact may be intermitant. best solution is to go to radio shack who have a variety of sizes and take the tranny with you.

I just made up an adaptor with a futaba size line socket on one end and a JR plug on the other with the wires crossed over. It saves doing all that careful marking.

Adaptor on = JR, No adaptor = Futaba.

I reverse the connections INSIDE the transmitter at the charge jack . Now all of my transmitters,chargers and cyclers are the same. You can either not use the JR charger or you can wire a new plug up with the center pin positive. If you sell the transmitter it is easy to put the polarity back to the JR factory setting.
