SO I called these guys about getting a 9C redio last week. Well actually I ordered one online and requested a callback because I had some questions. I gave no billing info. Just name and Address.

They never called back so I had my LHS order me one.

Well today when I get home I have a package on my door from none other than Servocity.com. They never called me back but they sent me the radio on good faith. Now this is the 9CHF which is what I really want while the one in my LHS is the 9CAF.

So I am thinking of getting both and just selling the 9CAF radio to a buddy of mine since he is looking to get one without the equipment.

Do they often do this?

Never tried it. I believe there was a bookeeping error somewhere.

I think it's a free gift!

I would check your credit card account to make sure there was no purchase made. Do they have your billing info from a previous transaction?

A 9CHF is not cheap.

I have never even contacted Servo-City till now. They don't have any CC info for me.

I don't really think this is a free gift LOL. I have to pay them.

Congratulations on your sponsorship from servo city! That can be the only explanation since you didn't order anything yet! LOL

LMAO. Yeah I wish. I am going to talk to my LHS tomorrow. See if he can send the radio he had ordered back. If not I will probably have a 9CAF for sale on here real soon.

Don't let your LHS BS you. He definitely can send it back.

It would be a nice gesture on your part to offer to pay the return shipping so he doesn't incur any losses.

Ahh Finally the full story.

I got a call from Brian at Servo City today.
Here is what happened:

When I put in the order I requested a callback so I could get more information as I stated above.

Another person with a similar name placed an order and used PayPal to pay.

Our names and emails were apperently similar and they got the two orders confused.

I recived a Radio. He got a callback.

From the very start of the call Brian was extremely nice and willing to do whatever I wanted to solve the situation. He offered to pay to have the radio shipped back or to let me keep it at reduced cost.

Final verdict. I have a 9CHF for $220.00

My LHS is not being so kind about returning the radio he has in. He got a bit irate about it when I mentioned it. Even when I immidiatly offered to pay for shipping back.

You would think that he would be more understanding when I have bought 2 helicopters and about 7 planes from him in the past 3 years. Not to mention a couple cars, radios, etc.

Especially with all of the online vendors breathing down the LHS neks, you would think they would be a little more understanding.

Did they at least give you "Tower" price for the 9CAF so you can sell it easier?

My store matches Tower prices so yes I will be getitng the CAF for 389.00. I will be putting the CAF TX only for sale on here later today. If any of you want it, PM me. I will probably sell it for 250 even and it is literally new in box

Did I detect something in your post? "...about returning the radio he has in". Does this mean you haven't picked it up from him and haven't yet paid for it? Seems to me if that is true then just ignore him and let him eat the shipping. He is not recognizing you for your past support so why feal loyalty? In actuality, he will probably have no difficulty selling it to someone else.

Default 9c

could you sell it for the price that your lhs is giving you? I would have a talk with your lhs. He/she has a business to run. Running a business, especially an operation under 10 people. People's personal stresses show. I would seriously talk him through it, show him all the effort you put in to buy the radio from him/her. Talk about the money you "will be spending" in the future and tell him what a superstar he could be by "cooperating" with you.

Remember, if their store closes, your hobby could become more difficult. I buy from LHS's is a city with a severe labor shortage, so I put up with alot of bs, and not alot of that good old fashioned advice.

That's my opinion. Good luck whatever you do.

Well I went by the shop after work today and found out that Al (the owner) went back in the hospitol. I get the feeling that is why he was being so testy this morning. He was feeling like hell.

He can be a jerk sometimes but he is a good guy overall. I will talk to him when he is better.
