Default Radar Guns & 2.4ghz spread spectrum ...

Has anyone tried to use a Radar Gun on your RC plane or jet? Have you had any success and what gun are you using? Here is a cheap and effective radar gun but my concern is... it is advertised to shoot at "24 billion RF cycles of energy per second."

Isn't that precisely what our 2.4ghz radio systems transmit on? Will using a radar gun on this frequency knock our planes out of the sky if we're on spektrum?

The K band radar gun your link shows is on 24 Ghz not 2.4Ghz. The Ka band guns are at 34 Ghz.

Don't know makes or model numbers but I've had a couple radar guns pointed at my jets with Spectrum systems in them with no issues.

I have a radar gun - couple years old and cost about $100. It will pick up almost any RC plane but the pilot has to fly pretty close to the guy holding the gun. Basically he needs to fly the plane within 30 - 50 feet of the gun. Even then it may take a few passes to get a reading. I've picked up 35% planes as well as Strykers.
