I used to have an 8AUPS. I bought a book, from Don Edberg, that presents many scenarios and how to resolve them on the 8AUPS. Flaps on a switch was one of them. It requires using two Programmable Mixers. Search for Don Edberg and you will find his web site.

Try this but use one of the 3 position switches. Set one position to 0% flaps, mid position to 50% flaps, down to 100% flaps.

Its easy.

Set the switch to the middle and set your linkages for mid flaps.

Then use the end points to set your 0 and full flaps.
