Can anyone tell me who makes the Cirrus brand of servos currently being sold by Hobby People, as I know that in the late 80's under their previous banner they sold a Cirrus brand radio manufactured by Futaba.

Sort of depends on the servo. Some of them look like GWS and others look HXT. I have a whole bunch of the CS-601's. Yet look a lot like the [link=http://www.hobbypartz.com/kahaoubrmo14.html]These[/link] They are Hextronic servos, or so I have been told. I have checked and they have the same hardware and the cases look a like.

So, as most servos come out of the same factories with different stickers, I have no hard proof of it.

Tower Hobbies if I remember correctly sold the Cirrus brand of servo. My experience has been very good with these servos.

I bought a few Cirrus CS-601's and so far they have performed quite well for my general sports flying application. It just seems so very strange to find servos at such low prices and with such impressive specs when compared to the very high prices being asked for other similar spec name brand units.

Karol, I too have been surprised with the CS-601's. I run them at 6v and they work great. I had them in a 3D plane and they did not seem to mind. They held the surfaces with ease. I was told by one person he would NEVER put a $10.00 servo in his plane. I said you are missing out on a great servo and wasting your money.

I am just a weekend sport/aerobatic flier and really don't need the precision of pricey digital metal geared servos for the .90 - 1.20 size models that I fly, so a standard sized analog servo of seemingly fairly good quality with this much punch as the CS-601's has and at that price is good enough for me.
