Default Kraft Seventy One Series System

While cleaning my Dad's house, I found a boat with a Kraft Seventy One series 2-channel radio system. The receiver and servos are one unit. Nothing worked (with fresh batteries) so I opened the receiver and discovered a couple of loose wires. Does anyone have any information on this system, or does anyone work on them??? Or, should I just toss it and buy a new system?? Is it worth trying to sell (most likely to a collector)?? Thanks in advance for any information/suggestions....

Iwould not toss it.

It is amazing what people who collect or repair old stuff will pay for. Ihad 30 year hold HP 35 calculator that did not work because the battery terminals were corroded. Iput it on Ebay and sold it easily.

Google around or try Ebay. It might be worth nothing or some money.

This was called a "brick" system. I had one of these in the 70's and it worked quite well although it was a bit heavy. You shouldn't have many problems selling it as there is a good market for Kraft systems. They are really a narrow band system before they were needed.

It's on 26Mhz (26.990)...

If I can find information on where the loose wires go, I might try using it - would be fine for a boat...

Thanks for the reply,

Opps! I meant 27mHz... and I just checked again to be sure, and the crystal is 26.995. So, I guess it would be legal to use it for a surface vehicle (boat).. Thanks for the reply!

Its a 27Mhz radio. Still used on tons of low end RC stuff; land, sea and air.
