possible carb problem
when i start my 18ss rs4 3 it goes on fine but when i apply a fair amount of throttle and then let go to neutral my car just continues to run and pick up even more speed. What ive noticed is that b4 a start the car, the carb opening is normal but when the engine is started and i apply some throttle, the carb opening gets bigger and the carb losses its 1mm carb opening while going back to neutral and it stays locked in that halfway open position even when I apply brakes. to get it outa that position and back to 1mm i have to shut the engine off and play around with the throttle. is there a chance that i ruined the carb? i played around alot with the idle screw could i had possibly damaged my carb messing around to much with the idle screw?

RE: possible carb problem
Its most likely not your carb so dont worry. Pop out the throttle linkage and then move the carbs throttle arm open and closed. It should move smoothly. When its in the closed position there should be at least 1mm opening . If you can do the above its not your carb for sure
Either your trim or linkages/servo horn arent set properly. Theres so many ways to adjust the carbs opening and closing.
Try this: Unscrew your servo horn with the radio units OFF. Pop it out and then turn on the radio and let it go neutral and put the horn back while making sure the carb is as closed as possible.

Check the housing that the low speed needle screws into. If its loose it will make your carb very erratic. Tighten it up if its loose because it also holds the throttle arm in place.
