Nice let me know what kind of time frame the shipping ends up being. If you run a machine shop, i sure could use some better rods & pistons for Hyper 21

The machine shop is speciallized for bigger machinery like converting equitment and what not. Small, detailed parts arn't really done here, i myself make my own parts when possible...like that wheel adapter, thats easy to do on a lathe.

Heres a quick 3d design i whiped up.., the small hex would have the same thread as a nut and the shaft on the top would be threaded like regular.
[img][/img]
Are you sure this is a good idea? Because the right side adapter would start to unscrew under acceleration.

Well, i got my adapters made up. They actually came out pretty good. and for the problem with the one side unscrewing, i dought that will happen, the 2 wheels that are together are very tight against each other, but we will see, i havn't road tested it as i am waiting for some new foams to come in the mail. Heres some pics of the installed adapters:

I will be traveling to Miami this Saturday with the family. My son and I wanted to see 100mph RC cars. Someone told me that they run on Sundays. Can anyone tell me where they run?

Also I was thinking of taking my RS4 with many upgrades and an OS 18tz (maybe 75-85mph) and my sons new stock Savage X in the plane but wondering where the hobby shops are so I could buy some Nitro fuel, if anyone could help me out would be greatly appreciated. I have a hotel booked but not sure where, but off the beach.

I will be in Miami from 6/2-6/9 and hopefully they run many nights.

Things in Miami work different from everywhere else in the country we live down here with tax rates close to NYC while the minimum wage is still way to low PLUS down here its KNOWN people get payed crap for there degrees in what ever they studied. Its not just hobby shops its gas stations, store fronts, ect ect everything around here opens one week closes the next becuase the cost of living kills profit margins in most industries, right now today half of miami is vacant not only in the housing market but in the retail market and that's the way it is.

Orange blossom failed for reasons i rather not get into but u'd have to be from miami, to understand why it failed after so many years. A&E was doomed to fail from day one due to there location location LOCATION the sheer size of the shop killed the profit margins completely and the fact they stuck the shop in warehouse district that even using GPS was hard to find was a huge fail. A&E was owned by to real cool guys which both of which i still speak to and are very good people but the location was doomed to fail from day one. Basically if someone didn't give you turn by turn directions you'd never find it i don't think A&E made it to the two year mark.

Other shops have come and gone in miami, but personally the 2 shops i don't see ever closing is crown hobbies and ct motor sports in Aventura. Crown hobbies has YEARS and YEARS of faithful customers and they have a good inventory of EVERYTHING u'd and CT as well..........everything else in miami its a shot in the dark of how long it will last.

Hobbyshop world in by the airport is pretty slick too, i don't see them ever going anywhere either but there all helicopter's,planes and rockets only so i barely stop by there unless i need a really good servo.

Car-boy ill be in contact with you, i just REALLY REALLY hope it doesn't rain next week its rained every day since last week.......BTW car-boy are you into mini-z??? there's a nice track at crown hobbies now its pretty sick

why did i leave? No habla espanol lol

Nah really, i left because the south florida style of fast living and easy money only comes without consequence for so long.. and leaving was the only way to get out and stay out before it ended up being too late. Lets leave it at that.

The Motonicas are decent cars, no doubt about it, but if you have the funds, an Xray RX8 or a Mugen MRX5 will be superior. You wouldn't have found anything in this thread as its for 1/10th, these are 1/8th cars.

That looks pretty beastly...have you had a chance to run that yet? I think you might need to upgrade those foam tires to some wider ones cause i could forsee you running in the problem of smoking them off from the start..I am in the process of getting some 1/8 serpent style foam tires and making the conversion for my rs4 as to get to 100mph i need them.

Btw, does anyone know the acual diameter of a 1/8 serpent rear tire?

Anyhow, looks real nice.

Tom
