Lifted Highlift/Hilux/Tundra?
I'm about to purchase a set of blackwells axle's from RC4WD for a build. I'm curious, is there anybody running 40 series tires on there scale rig? What is the biggest tires you have seen on a highlift or tundra? Thanks

40 series is WAY to big for a scaler. The whole point of a scaler is that everything is in proportion and looks like the real deal. Even if you're building a scale version of Bigfoot, 40 series are gonna be too big. Those a designed for 2.2 or 1.9 wheels and tires anyway. The drivetrain probably isn't up to par to turn big ol' 40's and you'd have to have some serious offset in order to get any steering. You'll also need wheel adapters....
If you want bigger tires, check out RC4WD's website. They make a TON of bigger tires for 1.9 or 2.2 rims that would work on the Tundra/Hilift.

Yeah 40 series is too big to look right on a hi-lift chassis. 2.2's do however look good with the appropriate body lift and suspension setup.

40 series was the cheap way out. My friend has some rockstars with boggers for sale that were the color I needed! Oh well. "If you want bigger tires, check out RC4WD's website.
