Instead of building a dig box on the RS10 why couldn't you just use two esc's? One for the front and one for the rear?

well...you could use 2 esc's for that I think...but for me building the dig switches was easier on the wallet. Personally I'd rather go to radio shack and spend under $20 for all the stuff to wire up some dig switches than spend almost a couple of hundred bucks on 2 esc's. Then again, I don't plan on upgrading esc's until my stock esc dies.

I was thinking of doing brushless and it's not that expensive both motors I can get for under 25 bucks and then 2 esc's at 50 bucks and your done. so under 100 bucks shipped

If you can get it set up for that cheap, that's awesome. I was thinking in terms that most people do brushed setups and in a lot of MOA trucks they'll toss 2 tekin fxr's in them or something similar. Those things are practically $100 each and if you get motors on top of that, it can get pricey. I spent under 5 bucks for 2 switches, $8.99 for a micro servo, and I had wire laying around to wire it all up with, then I mounted it on a delrin plate instead of a box like some others have done.

What kind of brushless setup are you planning on using?

The gears will be fine it's not that hot of a setup...First off heres the motors they are 1000kv outrunners that I believe will fit they are .5mm larger then the bane-bots (dia wise)
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8502 (keep in mind the bane-bots are around 1050 kv)
and here is the esc's

Still haven't decided to run a decent BEC to power the servos or not.
What you guys think flame suit on

I don't really know a lot about brushless, but who knows, it might work. Like nbcrawler said...be careful about the gears. I have 13t cobalt motors in my RS10 and a little bit of fast bashing around destroyed one of my gears. I had to replace it recently, but with going slow they hold up fine. Good luck if you try that setup.
