Dick,
The decal sets are complete, they do not have a part # as of yet. Call the shop, tell them what you are looking for. Should have it in a couple of days. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Another question: If you or whoever painted the prototype BUSA triplane, did you spray or brush the yellow on the tail and top wing?
Also did you apply streaking to the fuselage and then paint the yellow, or did you just do the yellow on the bare covering?
I plan to spray the light blue on the bottom, then do the streaking, add the "FOK***"" numbers and then do the yellow.

Hey Dick,
Just to add a little controversy:
http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazin...rofile_dr1.htm
This article has alot of useful info. It seems that the top wing of Lothers #454 was not Yellow but was streaked. As per Windsock Vol. 8, No. 6, Dec 1992.
No matter what the paint scheme, I'm sure it will be a great flyer.

Balanced with out adding weight. Current weight 75 lbs. Next to do is start engine, pre flight check and fly. Balance of detail to be built and added now that flying season is slowing down.

The saito may be a bit too light weight for this plane. My engine weighs 7 pounds and will need about 2 pounds of nose weight.to balance.
Power wise, Saito will do the job.
You also may want to check the overall length of the engine. You can position the firewall on the triplane anywhere it needs to be.

Howdy Pettit,
Lothar VonRichtofen's airplane as part of Jast 11 would have had his chosen colors on the tail and the top of the top wing. What isdisputed is the darkened area around the Iron crosses. The Balkan Crosses on the NZairplaneare incorrect Here's a photo of the airplane we built at Golden Age Air Museumusing the latest research of the experts such as Achim Engels and Gary Sewall.
Enjoy

RE: NEW BUSA 1/3rd Scale Fokker Triplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered two 10 meter rolls and one 2 meter roll, as mentioned in the instruction manual. I cut pieces for the wings as follows:
15" wide pieces for the bottoms of each wing
16" wide pieces for the tops of each wing
These are cut to length of each wing plus 4 " for pulling around the wing tips.
I then cut pieces from the leftovers for the bottom, sides and top of the fuselage.
What was left from the leftovers were used for the ailerons, elevators and landing gear wing
The stab and rudder had to be cut from full width pieces.
And I still have about 6 feet of a 10 meter roll left over plus that 2 meter roll.
Call me frugal, but don't call me a cheapskate!
Also, here is the 1/3 scale Oberusel Rotary from Nick Ziroli Plans. It's just hanging on the prop shaft of the engine, but I had to see what it looks like

Howdy Steve,
Howdy Steve,
Are you going to head over for the RC meet this weekend?
Not sure I’m going to make it this weekend the wife has other plans. My club is having a jet meet next weekend it should be a big event. Stop out if you can, www.farviewflyers.net.
If I build the Fokker Triplane I could model it after the one you guys built, it looks amazing.
