Grimmace, you are like me or most scale guys, we like the unusual especially in this world of ARFs. The He is a seldom modeled plane and competed against the Me-109 for production numbers. I bet if you build the Heinkle, chance s are great that it would be the only one for miles around.......

Grimmace, Don't you have everything you need to build the Stuka?

Well, I should do the Stuka, but I am kind of excited about the HE 100D. It looks like the HE 100 is in the lead. I do have everything I need to start the Stuka other than the struts. I am like a kid in a candy store! I want to do it all!

If you do the He100D would you be building it for competition ?

At this point I am trying to make all of my scale models able to compete. I will have to track down docs for the HE 100 as well. Maybe Jerry Bates could clue me in to the 3 view he used, to help me along.

I think there is /will be a lot more info available on the Stuka than the He100D. But I'm a little prejudiced.

I am positive there is more on the Stuka. The problem is finding the right info. I am having a hard time getting my shop squared away, and finally completing my little sport plane project. Most that I have talked to are pushing toward the Stuka. The poll seems to suggest otherwise! lol

I can relate to that shop problem, seems like I can never get out to set up my garage shop when some thing else gets in the way. Mostly Health issues, but family, wife, etc., I been dreaming of building a really nice scale Stuka for way too many years now. Beginning to think it will never happen. But I still have my books and the internet so that sort of helps keep the dream alive. Let me know what in particular you're looking for and I'll try to find it in my stash of info.

Well, I need a good 3 view with straight ailerons (not tapered) of a B model. That would help a bunch.

Everybody ?? I would guess not nearly as many as build the P51, P47, Corsair, Spitfire, or Me109 to name a few of the more popular aircraft.

Well, they will both get built, it is just a matter of which one I do first!

HE 100 or Stuka, they will still be the only ones at my flying field. At least that would get flown regularly.

I wonder if I should start another poll asking what the most wrongly used name will be to describe the HE 100?

My FW 190 is just a Messeschmitt is most peoples eyes. Something as different as the HE 100 would really mess with their minds!

You might want to read the poll options, theres no "other" listed.

If it was me, id probably do the He100, stuka's are a dime a dozen at nearly every warbird meet. I have never seen a HE100.
