Hey Drac. Ill be sure to once i pick it up. Probably one day this week after work. The truck was packed to the gills today with planes so i couldnt take it. As for power, well, i havent given it any thought yet. I have a bunch of gassers not being used at the moment ranging from 2o CC up to 80 CC si im sure ill have something that will fit it. Im thinking of buying the RCGF 55 twin or 60 twin for the upcoming Andy Sheber build. I put an ad up to try and trade a brand new DA 50R with extras for a 50 to 60 twin, but no takers.

I bought a OS BGX, (35cc), at the same time, but that was 20 years ago. A gasser would probably be the go these days.

JC is a nice 60cc twin and very reasonable.

The catch is it is only available through Hobby King, or AMR of which one has to pay the difference in the dollar..
Actually, for what companies are wanting for 55-60cc twins I would go the route I have already gone. And that would be a CRRC 55cc twin from http://www.prcmodel.com/ at $409 it can't be beat. The one I have in my little Pitts is smooth as silk and more than enough power for the 22lbs. I have also dealt with other CRRC's at the field for friends and they are the same, a great running motor. If you go the CRRC route, go ahead and do Bowman rings from the start, you won't regret either.

Yeah, I WONT deal with HK and there "@#$% the customer " outlook on buisness, and have never dealt with AMR, which id rather them than HK. For the extra $80 id rather go your route. As for the Bowman rings, I usually break my engines in on Franks rings. Some say they dont see a difference, i say they dont know what there looking at. I certainly see the difference. Ill check out the CRRC. Thanks

Here's my newest edition. (Small, yet still pretty cool) . From what I was told, it's a scratch build from RCM plans. Zirolli designed the plans for a smaller 48 inch and Norm McFarland blew them up to 54 inch. It was gifted to me by a flying buddy. Needs some work to make it air worthy, but not too much. Should be a fun little Pitts. It's extremely light.

Robert, please, sign me into the brotherhood as I own a Pilot Pitts S2A .25 since I was a boy that my late father presented me for Christmas and which we never finished.

I plan finishing it during this summer holydays and I will post the result here.

And for sure I will post the airframe restoration, covering and maiden. By the way I intend to use the classic ROTHMANS scheme as I became in love of the Pitts just seeing an aerobatic display from this team in Cadiz (South Spain) in 1978.

I have a dimension question for the Andy Sherber Pitts s1s.
Wikipedia gives a 17"4" wing span. At 1/3 scale that yields a 69.3" Am I correct here about the Andy Sherber Pitts s1s wing span?
BTW what is the wing cord?

Want to start printing some parts, even though not sure when I will be able to start building.
