Fred,

I started this thread!
I also started this thread with a STATED PURPOSE!
That was... SCALE PHOTOS(take notice to the word SCALE). It has been stated time and time again BY ME in this thread because some people (like you) JUST DON"T GET IT, and continue to post although nice shots... NON-SCALE photos. Even after 147 posts and pictures, you still post 2 "non-scale" photos.

So don't attack me, and yes... Most airports don't employ giant air traffic controllers.
AND... airplanes don't have "whip" antennas sticking out of the tops of their fuselages. Drones may not have pilots, but typical aircraft in the air, do.(It may have won the "Scale Masters", but it's not a scale photograph).

To you and others... I ask you to PLEASE be considerate of the "purpose" of this thread. Most (if not all) of the 7000+ views of this thread are looking for a "particular" type of picture.
If you feel the need to indiscriminately post pictures... do it in some other thread, or start your own. Maybe a thread of "Jet MODEL pictures" would be nice.
Thank you,

Mustang51

I am photographin and videoing scale models all the time ( www.avfvideo.com)

If you dont recognise my second photo as a scale model than you better close shop!

It is the Albatros from Stephan Voelker, a good friend of mine. He won the Masters in Thailand with this one.

Have fun with your ego trip

Default chill out man

Mustang your very anal, Dude, Chill out. I see you are also making friends on this thread. Hey everyone boycott this thread and start a new one, go back and erase all of your past replies, start a new thread where all of your great pics will be apreciated, and there's no looser that can put down your pics because he started the thread. The scale airliner looked great, probally the best pic in this entire forum. Also the F-86 that was in the garage was probally the most scale plane I've seen in a while. ALL OF YOUR PHOTO'S LOOK GREAT. WAY TO GO GUYS Just to pi$$ off mustang more, here's a really ugly pic of one of my jets that's not even finished yet.

Default Coming to the Rescue Mustang51!

Hang on, I'm coming to the rescue Mustang51!

These pictures that I am going to post are of Jimmy Cowman's B-17 taken at Kress Texas last year. I think he won a prize at Bomber Field with it. Bob Holman plans built...

Shanksow... Great shots. Is that a Don Smith B-17.
If so, can you put me in touch with the owner\builder as I am building one myself and would appreciate any advice\tips he can give me on it.

Thanks,

Hi there:

Sorry, it is not a Don Smith B-17. Its smaller in size with a 10 foot wingspan and comes from bh plans. Not that you could tell from his website that he has such a model/plan for sale there.

Mr. Cowman's B-17 is very detail. It even has battle damage in select places!

Default Best scale photo!

Hey guys... try to understand what Mustang51 is trying to accomplish in this thread. He wants scale photos. There is a difference between scale photos and photos of scale planes.

People were submitting awesome pictures in the first half of the thread (and the second half also), but the original purpose of the thread is drowning out in the second half. They are all great photos, it just that some of them don't fall into the scale photo category.

This is a great thread and a great idea by Mustang51. I'd hate to have one of the moderators close it off prematurely. Let's not lose it.

yeah, everyone email your pics to Mustang before you post them, that way he can screen them before we put them on "HIS" RCU chat room. Mustang comes from a better gene pool than the rest of us (wonder if its some left over from WWII germany), so if you lower gene pool people would do this Mustang wouldn't have to insult you all.

SDCrashmaster, that's a great shot of an amazing model. Outside of that pushrod, you can't tell that it's not the real thing. Thanks for the post.

There ya go Fred, that's what we're looking for. That plane looks a lot like a "Vampire". Does anyone know if they were both produced by the same company? Kudos to the builder for that nose strut.

What is a scale Photo if not a photo of a scale plane? Please give us a difinition so we know what you want.

OK! I see. I read the fine print in the first Window of this tread and you say there you want photos that look like full scale but are models. Meaning not on a table and not on a stand. I will remove my photos. A repetition of this requirement would be a better way to instruct folks on what to post than to insult them.

It is a DH Venom

A similar model of the Venom was also flown at the last T4X Large scale World Champs in Interlaken, Switzerland 2000
and placed 3rd. Reeves flew it.

Here is an A-340 flown by Thilo Kyritz at Top Gun Germany 2001.

Power: 2 x Jet Cat Turbines
4m span
weight 44 lb
own design based on Rauch kit
very realistic in flight!

My apologies Fred, your right. It's just that repeating myself gets tiering. Clearly I need to rethink that as this thread is starting to get long with many views. I should repost those requirements every now and again as I guess a lot of folks "tune in late" .
