Default Piper Tomahawk

My girlfriend's grandfather just gave me this plane. He said that he only paid $10 for it and it has never been flown.
I have a couple questions. First what engine should i put into this puppy? What brand do you think it is? and how old is this(I know its at least 5 years old).

Thanks

Wingspan? Length? Power? Wood or fiberglass construction?

Looks like an early Pilot kit. I flew mine on a Saito 45 FS. Think any 52 FS would be fine.

Looks to be the Pilot Kit. You might check out this thread...

I made some comments on the model I scratched from the Pilot Plans. Mine has a ST 29 under the hood and inverted. I like Jim's suggestion on a 52 FS.

Good Luck

So did you fly this one?....I just crashed mine today. I now have a wing. Would you be interested in selling yours?

"Looks like an early Pilot kit."

That would be my guess, also. Check it out very carefully; Pilot was notorious for "throwing" together display models, that were not necessarily flyable.
