Default rivet detail tape

I remember reading a long time ago .about a tape of sorts that you could applie to an airplane and simply run a bead of glue down on it and you would have perfect rivets. Does anybody know where i can by this tape at? Or is there a simple way to do this nowadays! thanks stan

It's my understanding that the guy who used to make that tape no longer does so. Perhaps there's another vender selling but I haven't seen it in sometime.. That tape was good for raised rivets only.. just an FYI

Anybody with a laser cutter should be able to do this for you.

Check with IMP scale, I think they had it, but I'm not sure if they still offer it. I'm thinking it may have been called Rosie the Riveter, or something like that.

Try FLITEMETAL.COM, they have a product called Rosie Rivitor. Or you could make the stuff yourself.

If I am not mistaken, I do believe the Ed gets his rivet tape from the guys at [link=http://www.rcscaleproducts.com/]RC Scale Products[/link] So might as well just get it from them to start.

While this is true, Ed does provide some added value by selling a "ready to use" kit with everything included.

And FYI, you CAN simulate flushed rivets with the tape by simply wiping over the tape with a damp paper towel before removing it after placing the glue droplettes in the holes.

At $0.75 for a 20" strip I think I would just buy it. I see on the webiste they have a special glue dispenser and a special tape for panel lines. MikeChilson you are spoiling us, keep doing it!
