scale width for deck planking
I’m building a 1930’s cargo-passenger ship, 65” long, 10” beam (SS Shengking). What would be a scale width for deck planking? I was going to go with 3/16 width for mid deck with areas of 3/8 width on the fore deck, but I’m wondering if 1/8 and ¼ would be more appropriate.
How wide were typical deck planks in the 1930s?

Try this I found.... http://www.pt103.com/Scaling_Tool.html I used this a bunch when building my 1/96 USS Pittsburgh. Enter the scale and it'll convert it for you.

It's not the conversion I need, I need how wide was typical deck planking in the 1930s. I'm guessing it was about 7 inches wide, and scaled it down from there.
