RE: Who makes quality Chris Craft Kits?
do you want one pre-built? I just received my a 1938 Chris-Craft Triple Cockpit Barrel Back Kit

From what I have read, I did not think Dumas had very good instructions; however, this kit came with detailed instructions with a lot (well over 100) quality pics, not to mention the drawings along side the step by step instructions.
If you like this kit, do not buy it from Dumas, I got it from Towerhobbies.com for almost half the price, I guess Dumas sells at MSRP
Kit #1241
Length: 40-1/2 inches
Beam: 10-3/4 inches
Scale: 1/8th
Power: #2025 High Speed Electric Motor
Running Hardware: Included in kit

RE: Who makes quality Chris Craft Kits?
I built the Dumas 16' Utility boat years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed the build. I liked it so much I bought the barrel back (19', I think). I've been building Dumas kits since I was a teen, so I guess I am used to their plans/instructions. I do not find them that difficult to follow. I recommend them to anyone that has decent building skills. I recommend buying their finishing video as well. It shows how to glass the hull, which some find intimidating. I prefer to use 3/4 oz glass cloth instead of the heavier 2 oz that I think they suggest. It is easier for me to get to conform to the hull. If I had more time and money, I would build their entire line of Chris Craft boats.
