Default Tamiya 75mm Sherman

Here are some photos of my recently completed Tamiya 75mm Sherman. Turret details modified, Nick Agular's mantlet & barrel, sand skirts removed, and Mato VVSS suspension & tracks.

Finally an early version...looks nice, but paint the end connectors. Only place you will see that amount of rust is on museum tanks that haven't moved for years. Also you don't need the star on both turret and sponson. How did the suspension swap work? Did the mounting holes line up or was a bit of modeling required? I'm thinking of doing it the other way 'round.

Looks great. I have one of Nick's cast turrets & Chassis waiting for a conversion. Hopefully this winter it will get some attention.

I see you are in New Hampshire, any other tankers in your area?
I'm on the west side of the state. I have a few friends here that use my tanks but no one interested enough to dive into the hobby themseleves.

Any Sherman is a good Sherman. The 75mm versions are a more mainstream, classy look. Great work.

Sir,

Kudos to your fine Sherman! Could you post some links for the turret and mantlet source as well as more pics of the build details if you have any? There are a number of avid/rabid Shermaphiles on this forum that would love to build a classic like yours! I personally want to do a Kelly's Heroes job on my Mato M4.

Regards,

Mike
