Hi Dave Will the DBC or the RC2 boards work with the Mato sherman board,or do we have to junk them and fit a Heng Long board,rx14, rx18.

Nope, it won't work. I have a Sherman board here, but haven't found the time to make it compatible.

Yes that is too bad. The Mato board was designed with a removable sound COB and showed some promise. The design was good but the manufacturing execution was poor. The sounds with a quality speaker were actually pretty good.
