Scale antenna length - M41A3
I've looked through my references and I can't find the length of the antennas on the USM41A3 Bulldog. I'm going to cut down the HL antenna and put some heat shrink on it to improve the realism of the antenna's appearance.
In pictures, it looks like a 10-ft whip antenna. But, I know that 15-ft antennas were pretty common, too. Just wondering if anyone knew what it should be.
Thanks.

The MS-115-16-17 sections were 3 ft long, figure the antenna mast base and 10 ft is OK. the secondary inf radio ant is 6 feet...ie 2 sections of the same ant MS sections. The M-41 initially carried the AN/GRC-3 radios. May have changed for S Vietamese Army but antennas should not have changed as armor frequencies stayed the same.. 20.0-27.9.

Thanks...I was hoping you'd jump on this one.
So, which antenna was which? The HL Bulldog has two antenna spots - rear of turret and adjacent to the loader's hatch. I've stolen the brass attachment point from another tank and will install an antenna at both places (one will be inert). Sounds like I need to plan for 9-10' antenna and a 6-7' antenna. I'm guessing the antenna closest to the loader's hatch was the shorter one.
Thanks.

The prime antenne is directly behind the TC hatch. the secondary for infantry is by the loader. You are correct. Both used the same antenna mast base.
