...according to HengLong these models "probably will be available in the beginning of 2013".
No idea about probs they have not advised specifically.
update - HengLong says that it will be available in March 2013. Please check with your regional dealers also.

There's that static sound again when it's running. Hoped they would have fixed that by now!

the issues are fixed, just waiting for production to be enough that the tank will be available on a much more reliable basis.
this is one I chase down every few days.

I placed my order yesterday and I was told my back order from way back in November has finally shipped., INFRA RED WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE any longer as a standard on the HL Sherman.

My recomendation will be to pop a Clark TK20 or TK22 in the tank and use its battle system with the super easy conversion

Cool I guess I'll get the BB version anyway. That wil be my next one. Will you be getting in the electronic upgrades about the same time? The "TK" boards ,Wiring sets, TBU bases , Flash units, and the IR led. Maybe put up a package price for it all?

+1, but I would recommend also to use a profihelp of those people that know how to configure it.
As our experience says Clark is not a "plug-n-play"...

Clark is plug and play for airsoft tanks the only area where a modification is required is when you do the barrell recoil with a servo.
There is a wire modification available but that modification is so you can get proportional gun elevation in either direction. You can just plug it in the Clark and get exactly what Heng Long offers.

I for one will offer whatever help is needed to get your clark boards up and running. The Clark board is hands down the easiest BB to IR conversion on the market other than buying a ready made just plug in turret, but then you are stuck with Heng Longs crappy electronics.
Matter of fact I am going to set up modified Shermans in my shop using the Clark board

Respectfully the DBC3 is the easist conversion to IR for Heng long tanks to give complete Tamiya compatibility with momentum and the option to turn of the superspin and recoil..

I am not going to go down this path, me thinks I'll take the high road today and re-iterate the Clark board is the best value on the marketplace period

Your comment that the Clark is the easist path to go to convert a Heng long tank over to IR was in error. With a DBC3 all you have to do is plug in the 3 wire cable and you are done,

Glad you are taking the high road.

The Clark board with its sound is a good value there is no denying that, and for an all in board you can't find one cheaper.

Hey Men, With this Clark Board or DBC Board, You still have to come up with a gun recoil correct? And if so this is sratch built? If a person already had a IR sherman from the factory this Clark or DBC Boards is just a plug in?

Hi, ROLLIN ARMOUR,

Our board can support HL original recoil unit no problem, but most of our customer upgrade their tank to RealRecoil standard for most realistic recoil movement.

For IR, if you don't need long range battle, and don't want to modify original IR circuit, you can order TK22H or TK20H Variants from us. so that you will just need to modify elevation circuit(2 wires) to have direct elevation control, no more time-consuming cycling elevation during battling.

Regards,
Clark

If you want to use the stock Heng Long recoil, the DBC3 is plug and play.( all you do is plug in the the 3 wire control cable from the RX 18 into the DBC3 and the conversion is complete.)

I think with the Clark system, if you want to leave the elevation the same it is also plug and play. Maybe CLark or Freaky want to comment on that as I am not exactly sure .
