What kind of connector is this ?
Hi all,
I plan to build my first rc tank and decided to go with the IBU3 control board.
As i am quite new with rc models but able to use a soldering iron etc. i would like to make my own cables for connecting everything.
But i have no idea which type of connectors i need to buy
So, here is a picture of the IBU3 which i took from the IBU Manual:
The black connectors are for standard servo cables (i dont know how they are officially called either), but what type are all the white connectors ?
What type of plugs do i need to order to make cables by myself ?
Thanks!
Regards,
Olaf

The standard larger white connectors are called JST-XH plugs and are the same as used on Lipo balance plugs. The servo connectors are sometimes called Dupont and standard servo pins have a 2.54mm pitch. The smaller Tamiya connectors are called Molex micro-latch connectors by Digikey. Hopefully this helps

You'll need one of these from Hobby king, about $13 I think, and amazon and ebay are both good places to find jst kits.

I did a video at my youtube channel about a year ago, before I learned how to properly adjust the crimper to make it release correctly. Once I got it set right it's been one of my most valued tools.
