Default Moving some stuff, T-34 first.

I'm selling my best battler, the 76/41 T-34.

It's a Trumpeter/Tamiya conversion.

With one kid shopping engineer schools (cheapest so far is 50K a year) and another getting ready, hobby money is nil so I'm going to move stuff I don't use much so I can afford some things I have my eye on.

I haven't battled in a while, so I'd like to see the T go to a good home.

Check out the classifieds if interested.

I'm thinking about putting the Ketten on the block too. I rewired it so it runs off a Losi pistol grip Tx.

You're going to have to sell a lot of tanks to pay for $50k a year! Maybe you have a real 1:1 tanks you can sell, lol!
I know the feeling, I am half tempted to sell off some of mine again, first time I tried didn't go to well.

Yeah, I'm hoping he gets some scholarships, he's got some stuff lined up.

He won't finish Eagle Scout before the applications go in and not many engineering schools need pole vaulters, but he's ranked high in math and physics, so hopefully...

Hats off to you the kids gotta come first, but it makes me all kinds of glad about the uk university system, for which I paid the princely sum of £1500 a year to go to one of the better engineering universities.

I hear ya Tom, without getting into politics, I envy the European and Scandinavian mindset when it comes to education.

One kid's four year degree will be more than I paid for my house. And I've got two kids.

And that's not to mention the $5K a year in school taxes I've been paying for the last 18 years...

Or, as I told my kids...

I provide...
529 plan w/ deposits since their birth
Some of my post-9/11 GI Bill (limited benefits available)

They do...
get scholarships and/or grants
get a part-time job
eat/live cheap (could go to school in same town as parents or grandparents)...walk a lot
join the military

That said, I am looking at buying a student condo in vicinity of whatever school they go to. They help manage it with other student renters in exchange for not having to pay rent. Might make a decent investment, too.

Just dropped some cash on my daughter's tuition at Texas A&M just last night. I feel your pain... Funny how I've talked to her more in the last 3 days then I have in the last couple of months since she left. Maybe she needs to ask for money more often...lol
